Scripture

  1. Matthew 26:28 [1]
for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. (ESV)
  2. John 19:30 [1]
When Jesus had received the sour wine, he said, “It is finished,” and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit. (ESV)
  3. Hebrews 7:27 [1]
He has no need, like those high priests, to offer sacrifices daily, first for his own sins and then for those of the people, since he did this once for all when he offered up himself. (ESV)
  4. Hebrews 9:12 [1]
he entered once for all into the holy places, not by means of the blood of goats and calves but by means of his own blood, thus securing an eternal redemption. (ESV)
  5. Hebrews 9:25–26 [1]
Nor was it to offer himself repeatedly, as the high priest enters the holy places every year with blood not his own, for then he would have had to suffer repeatedly since the foundation of the world. But as it is, he has appeared once for all at the end of the ages to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. (ESV)
  6. Hebrews 10:10–18 [1]
And by that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. And every priest stands daily at his service, offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. But when Christ had offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God, waiting from that time until his enemies should be made a footstool for his feet. For by a single offering he has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified. And the Holy Spirit also bears witness to us; for after saying, “This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my laws on their hearts, and write them on their minds,” then he adds, “I will remember their sins and their lawless deeds no more.” Where there is forgiveness of these, there is no longer any offering for sin. (ESV)
  7. 1 Corinthians 6:17 [2]
But he who is joined to the Lord becomes one spirit with him. (ESV)
  8. 1 Corinthians 10:16–17 [2]
The cup of blessing that we bless, is it not a participation in the blood of Christ? The bread that we break, is it not a participation in the body of Christ? Because there is one bread, we who are many are one body, for we all partake of the one bread. (ESV)
  9. John 20:17 [3]
Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to my brothers and say to them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’” (ESV)
  10. Acts 7:55–56 [3]
But he, full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God. And he said, “Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God.” (ESV)
  11. Hebrews 1:3 [3]
He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, (ESV)
  12. Hebrews 8:1 [3]
Jesus, High Priest of a Better Covenant Now the point in what we are saying is this: we have such a high priest, one who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in heaven, (ESV)
  13. John 4:21–24 [4]
Jesus said to her, “Woman, believe me, the hour is coming when neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem will you worship the Father. You worship what you do not know; we worship what we know, for salvation is from the Jews. But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.” (ESV)
  14. Philemon 20 [4]
Yes, brother, I want some benefit from you in the Lord. Refresh my heart in Christ. (ESV)

Put On the New Self If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. (ESV)
  16. 1 Thessalonians 1:10 [4]
and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come. (ESV)
