But can those converted to God keep these commandments perfectly?

Scripture

  1. Ecclesiastes 7:20 [1]
Surely there is not a righteous man on earth who does good and never sins. (ESV)
  2. Romans 7:14–15 [1]
For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am of the flesh, sold under sin. For I do not understand my own actions. For I do not do what I want, but I do the very thing I hate. (ESV)
  3. 1 Corinthians 13:9 [1]
For we know in part and we prophesy in part, (ESV)
  4. 1 John 1:8 [1]
If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. (ESV)
  5. Psalm 1:1–2 [2]
Book One The Way of the Righteous and the Wicked Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. (ESV)
  6. Romans 7:22–25 [2]
For I delight in the law of God, in my inner being, but I see in my members another law waging war against the law of my mind and making me captive to the law of sin that dwells in my members. Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I myself serve the law of God with my mind, but with my flesh I serve the law of sin. (ESV)
  7. Philemon 12–16 [2]
I am sending him back to you, sending my very heart. I would have been glad to keep him with me, in order that he might serve me on your behalf during my imprisonment for the gospel, but I preferred to do nothing without your consent in order that your goodness might not be by compulsion but of your own accord. For this perhaps is why he was parted from you for a while, that you might have him back forever, no longer as a bondservant but more than a bondservant, as a beloved brother—especially to me, but how much more to you, both in the flesh and in the Lord. (ESV)
