Question 78
How is baptism rightly administered?
Baptism is rightly administered by immersion, or dipping the whole body of the person in water (Mt 3:16 Joh 3:23), in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, according to Christ's institution, and the practice of the apostles (Mt 28:19,20), and not by sprinkling or pouring of water, or dipping some part of the body, after the tradition of men (Joh 4:1,2 Ac 8:38,39).
